Gratitude, gifts and Groceries

Groceries first.  They're expensive.  That's all on that.

Gifts.  Danny and I don't exchange gifts for Christmas.  We open up our house every Christmas Eve and cook for days prior and stock the shelves with all manner of food and drink.  We also give to the humane society.  After seeing those ASPCA commercials lately...well, here I come ASPCA.com

Gratitude.  I'm grateful for my life.  My entire life.

From my upbringing in Maine, raised by a family of complete characters who taught me to cherish laughter and  to pull myself up by my bootstraps.  I could go on about them.  I will.  Hang in there.

My life with my DH (dear husband...chuckle chuckle), which  began when I was 15, and he was 16.  We married in the few months' span when we were both 21.  I'm 49. He's 50.   I love that old man.

My career.  I love teaching.  I am humbled by the young spirits who share their lives and minds with me.  Wow.  And more wow.  Our community teaching me what community really is....love expanded.

Back to groceries.  I have an embarassment of riches.

Gratitude is a gift that enables me to focus on the positive things in life.
